Nice post! I too love German cars, and can trace my Porsche ownership to a neighbor in Lakewood with a 914. So many things go into the car buying decision, but at some point in my life the emotional connection and the visceral excitement of driving beat out the practical need for transportation.
I've owned 2 Audi A4s, an Audi TT, an A6 Allroad, 2 VW New Beetles, and currently have an A6 and a Porsche 911. Love what you drive and drive what you love.

Once Audi lost their head designer to Kia, I don’t find them as attractive. But, no surprise, I’m kind of diggin’ the new Kia’s!
