I've been gone from there for many years. But I do remember when there was a great big open space just a bit east of Park Lane, and past the pool and library (which have also been updated). This was a great place for the rides they would bring in near the end of every summer. But they built Park Place there. I see they're now redeveloping that.
About the only constant in Kirkland is that you can go to either George's or Acropolis (used to be Athens) and still get a nice meatball grinder.

I'm embarrassed to say I've lived here nearly 30 years and have never been to George's or Acropolis! 😬
Yes, Park Place is now Kirkland Urban...with unexpectedly half-vacant Google offices! But it did lure PCC downtown which is a plus!
