Hegspeth renaming Fort Liberty after an obscure soldier also named Bragg is saying out loud that ANY White guy is better than any accomplished person of color or Black American. He knew he couldn’t rename Bragg after the same Confederate general without blowback.
Lots of topics for me to ponder, e.g. self-trust, God(s), advertisers, marriage, medical diagnoses, my '74 Bronco. For years, I've been fascinated by belief systems. By that I mean, how people form and update their beliefs. Trust is certainly a factor in all of that but it too is quite finicky and ever changing. But, I still believe and trust that you're a good chef regardless of all the signs that say, "Never trust a skinny chef." Thanks for the article. I enjoyed it.
Thanks, Christopher. I think you’re right trust, and our belief system, are finicky. I think they’re also in constant flux, making it challenging to trust trust! But I definitely trust your Bronco. 😏
